What makes skin shiny and uneven?

Shininess, especially in the T-zone (forehead, nose and chin), is caused by excessive sebum production. This can cause a variety of inconveniences, like the sensation of your face feeling greasy or oily, a sheen on certain parts of your face, and acne (small pimples and blackheads). Mattifying products can irritate the epidermis and cause it to flake if the formula is too strong.
